Like most of you, I am sure, I watched the Town Hall address by the McCain/Palin camp last night and McCain stated that our dependence on foriegn oil is a National Security issue. Well, I thought to myself, this is interesting.

 Shortly after the attacks of 9/11 there were ads that accused some Americans of funding terrorists if they purchased guns or drugs, mainly marijuana. So is it safe to say that since our government has dumped billions of dollars into these oil rich countries that they helped fund the attacks of 9/11 and subsequently and further attacks that have the potential to take place?

It is my opinion that our government's hefty purchases of foreign oil is a bigger contribution to terrorist activities, than any American buying weed. I invite any and all views and debates on this subject.
