"Welcome to Sea World Orlando, meet Tilikum the Killer whale!!" No thanks...key word being "killer" people!! I don't understand why we're trying to persecute an animal because it was acting according to its mere nature. They don't call it a "Sweet, snuggly, come stand on my nose" whale for a reason. Dont get me wrong, i'm not an animal rights activist of any kind, nor do i try to avoid zoo's, aquariums, or the occasional cheeseburger, but i like to think that i've got a little bit more common sense than most, and in this instance, i'm proven to be right. Call me crazy, but if something is called "killer" anything whether it be a fish, a kitten, or a whale, i'm most likely gonna try to avoid it, much less avoid swimming with, kissing, and riding it. Orca's in the 'wild' eat fish, not the dead one's they get at Sea World, sea lions, walruses, and obviously they don't have anything against people. You really think that if you raise a several thousand pound animal in captivity, reguardless of whether its name starts with "killer" or not, that there's no chance anyone will get hurt? You'd think not, but unfortunately, this whale is being marked as a "serial" killer whale. Nice. Last time i heard that joke i laughed so hard i fell of f my dinosaur. I'd love to know how many of these name callers actually paid the $68.95 to go to Sea World and see Tilikum in action. Probably alot. In all seriousness, it is unfortunate what happened to trainer Dawn Brancheau, but would she really want to see the animal that she worked with and loved for so many years put to death? You can speculate an answer until the cows come home, but i really don't think that she would. If the animal has had previous incidents with harming people, Dawn obviously well knew the risk, before working with Tilikum. I personally would like to see Tilikum placed in a sanctuary where he can live out the rest of his life enjoyably, not swimming around in circles in front of hundreds of screaming people a dozen times a day.
