I was surprised and excited at the addition of Sarah Palin to McCain’s ticket.  The pick was not the shock that all seemed to think it was.  I had called the need for a woman on the ticket and said it was time for it.  The Obama campaign threw a fit over it and lashed out at it with a knee jerk reaction.  They then back tracked and tried to take the high ground and just left their media hounds do the work for them.  This has showed them as the true 2 face politicians that they are.  I am from Illinois so I know that Obama didn’t get in the political arena here without being very politically connected with some very shady characters.  This is not a bad mark on him but is part of our world here.  Obama will become a force and possibly become president yet, but at this time in his career he is not ready.  He has a great presence and can connect with the public effortlessly but does not have the experience we need at this time.  This is my thoughts at this time and being a independent things may change but at this time this is where I am at.
